The train-ride is great fun. Everything reminds of the historic Orient Express of the turn of the century. In the sleeping-wagon it takes about 15 hours from Santiago to Temuco (the bus is twice as fast).
The personnel is proud about serving in this train and a service of this quality would be unthinkable in Germany. The restaurant is really excellent and the waiters are true artists.
