T o be a KAPer is very new to me - thanks to Brooks Leffler and the Aerial Eye (the first and only KAP magazine). KAP or "Kite Aerial Photography" uses a big single line kite to lift a camera and take photos out of the air. The camera is fixed in a special camera rig (mine was build by Brooks) together with a simple radio control. The following images were taken during my the first launch of my KAP-rig. Better and more images to come...
Thats Johannes and me lifting the rig with a sutton flow-form 16 on our local kite ground.
An old complex near the river Rhine on the opposite side of the city.
The skyline of the south part of cologne. The area you see here is called "Rheinau-Hafen".
Nearly the same image as above - just a slightly different angle.
T hat's me standing under the KAP-rig.
Ever heard about polution? The nice skyline of cologne with our cathedral and a misty sky.
